Whatsapp Tips #1:

How to make read recipient optional on Whatsapp:

Update your whatsapp from your store and reopen whatsapp and go to it’s setting > accounts > privacy settings and turn off read recipient.

Whatsapp Tips #2:

How to Hide Whatsapp Pictures / videos from gallery:

Whenever you received an images/videos on whatsapp. it automatically appear inside your gallery. So if you don’t want people to see these pictures or even a videos there is simple way to hide it.

For android, navigate to whatsapp media folder using any file manager that you want. For this example I am using ES file manager.  Usually it can be found under sdcard > Whatsapp > Media Under Media folder. once you go to the media folder you will see a sub-folder called ‘Whatsapp Images’. Now all you have to do is rename this ‘Whatsapp Images’ folder by adding a period ( . ) in front of it. So your final folder name becomes ’.Whatsapp Images’ You can do same thing for video folder or any other folder you want. And when you go back to your gallery you will find the “whatsapp images folder” has vanished. like it was never there.

Similarly to get it back, all you have to do is revert the changes. If you cannot see your folder, then you will have to turn on , show hidden items options. now remove the period from the folder name and it will visible inside the gallery.

If you are iPhone user then hide whatsapp images by going to your privacy setting > photos > turn off the whatsapp.

Whatsapp Tips #3:

Spy on whatsapp contact:

So if you want to track someones whatsapp usage activity , Then you can use this free app called whatsdog; This apps will give you notification when the selected person is online, you can even analysis the contact whatsapp usages on daily, weekly or monthly basis using chart and calendar.

At a given time you can only monitor a single contact, however you can delete the cache and start tracking other numbers. After deleting the cache, the app will reopen itself and now you can choose the contact that you want to monitor on whatsapp. once you done that the app will activate the service and start tracking that user's activity immediately.

You can even set up notification, which shows you if the contact is online or not. However, I consider it as security loop hole of whatsapp, as there is no way a user can avoid being tracked by whatsdog. But for stalkers it’s a cool app.

Whatsapp Tips #4:

sync whatsapp pictures with contacts:

I am sure, you would like to see a display picture appearing on your smartphone screen whenever you are making and receiving call.

But manually setting up display picture for all contacts, take lot of work. Right ?

But the good news is, you can import display picture from your whatsapp contact and set them as contact picture from your phone books contact using a third-party application called Contact photo sync.

So to get started download and install the app contact photo sync from play store. Once you do that open up this app. and you will notice the app starts scanning all the contacts on whatsapp and it will list them on the right side and at the left side it will all the phonebook contacts and list them on right and left respectively.

Now all you have to do is, select the contact whose display picture you want to update from his/her whatsapp profile picture and load the profile picture from the contact info screen. Then go back to the application by tapping on the back button and confirm the changes. And that's it, now you have set display picture for your contact, that you see while sending or receiving incoming calls.

Apparently this app is only for android users. If you are iPhone or windows users then you can use Sync me that will directly import contact’s display picture from their Facebook profile, it will do the same thing but it won't be using whatsapp.

Well this all for now, I hope you find this video/post useful..
