Man spends four years for building an unique church made of trees in his backyard
After traveling the world and watching the most beautiful churches, the New Zealander Barry Cox decided to use the space in his backyard to build something unique: A church made of living trees.
The project, which began in April 2011, took four years to complete and has the most diverse tree species. Called Tree Church Gardens, the space also has a living maze and amazing garden work. All this was facilitated by Cox company, which works just replanting and relocating trees and plants.
"One day I walked out the back door of my house and thought, 'This space needs a church' - and then it all started. I cleaned the area in April 2011 and made the iron beams, basing myself in all the research I've done over the years that I have studied churches "said Cox.
