#whatsapp On July 22, 2015 WhastApp released its new update of their instant messaging application. Whatsapp new verstion 2.12.194, for now, it is available only to Android users.

Silence notification of certain users:

The whatsapp application had the function to silence notifications generated by group messages. Now the new update allows silencing certain users.

Mark messages as "unread":  

This new function resembles like an email. Besides being able to archive, delete or send the conversations, you can now also mark messages unread. The big advantage is that it can help users remember to answer later. Pressing the conversation will pop up the 'Mark as unread' option.

Custom notification: 

Now, you can also customize the notifications in accordance with the contact or group. The user can set the ring tone, vibration and banner for each contact.

Low call data usage option: 

If you are using a limited data plan on your mobile, this option will help you to Save the data usage connections. The whatsapp v2.12.194 application now has a feature that reduces the amount of data spending on internet to calls made by WhatsApp. Just go to Settings> Conversations and calls and select the "Low data usage".
