Ingredients to make Spicy bhendi Gravy:

1 Fresh Bhindi ( Ladies Finger) - 1kg
2 finely chopped onions - 2
3 tomato ( cut into pieces) - 1
4 ginger paste - 1 tsp.
5 coriander powder - 2 tsp.
6 Turmeric powder - 1 tsp.
7 red chili powder - 3 tsp.
8 Jeera seeds  - 1 tsp.
9 Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tsp.
10 oil - 3 tbsp.
11 Salt as per taste - as per taste

Punjabi style Ladies Finger Gravy recipe, Punjabi Bhindi Masala Gravy Recipe

Steps to prepare the Ladies finger gravy in Punjabi style:

Clean the ladies finger with a moist cloth and Cut it in about 1 inch pieces. Make a slit in each of the pieces so that the masala gets applied.

Heat oil in a kadai, add jeera seeds. Then add the chopped onions and fry it for some time till they become golden brown and then add the cut tomato pieces and let them cook.
Then add ginger paste and coriander powder and fry for a minute. then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, mix it. This should become homogeneus mixture which leaves out the oil. at this stage add the bhendi pieces to the mixture and apply the masala properly. Let it cook on medium flame while stirring in between so that it does not stick to the kadai. This may take 10 minutes. Add salt and garnish with coriander leaves and serve the spicy lady finger gravy hot to eat with rice.
