DIY 3 Easy Mason Jar Crafts Ideas | Glow in the Dark | Animal Container | Soap Dispenser

You probably have few empty mason jars laying around your house and do not know what to do with them. I took a self-appointed challenge and tried every mason jar DIY out there and right now, I am going to show you 3 of my favorites.

1) DIY Glow-in-the-dark from Mason Jar: I like to think of this as the West Coast version of catching fireflies in a jar. All you are going to need are some glow sticks, a pair of scissors and some glitter.

I am working on a little craft mat, I would recommend putting something down in your work area just in Case any spills. so you are going to cut off the tip of the glow stick and then pour the juice into the jar. now there is going to be a glass rod most likely inside the glow stick, you can just let this come out into the jar and break it in half that will activate the glow. And we are going to add some glitter, this is totally optional but when it comes to glitter, I would say why not? and then put the lid on and shake it up, this is going to activate the glow.(mason jar crafts with lights for Art Projects, it can also be given as gifts on birthday, Easter home decor, weddings, lighting ideas pics )

2) DIY little Animal Containers from Mason Jars: They are so easy to make. All you are going to need are some small plastic animals, primer craft paint, a paintbrush and a hot glue gun.

You are going to take your primer, you should be wearing gloves and hold it about eight to ten inches away from the objects, and just give a nice light coat. Give it a couple minutes to dry and then go back and just give it a second light coat, make sure it fills all the edges. and now for the fun part we are going to paint our little critter in the lid. I've chosen this really vibrant pinkish red and you are just going to take your paintbrush and do a light coat over the primer, a small angled brush works best to paint the animals and then we will let that dry and then do a second coat and then I like to use a little wider brush to paint the lid. and now all we have to do is attach the animal to the lid. so, I am going to use a hot glue gun and just put a little drop on to each of his feet and then stick them on the lid and we are done.

3) DIY Soap Dispenser from Mason Jar: (Homemade soap dispenser) Finally we are going to make this really cool mason jar soap dispenser. All you are going to need is a crop-a-dile or any tool to cut a hole in the metal and a pump from a disposable soap dispenser.

so all you are going to do is take the lid of the mashon jar. I am using a crop-a-dile because it cuts through metal really well. I am going to make one hole in the center, after you make that first initial hole you are just going to go around the perimeter of the circle and make additional punches until you have a hole big enough to fit this in. so you may have to try it out a couple times but it doesn't take long. Once you have the hole, just take a sharpie and trace around the edge. so that you will have a guide for where to put the rest of your punches. it should be just wide enough to get the dispenser pump in but you would have to push it a little bit so it will stay in place and I actually really recommend wearing something protective on your fingers because these edges are very jagged. After this add some soap, we are done.  it seriously looks so cute on the kitchen counter and it is Eco-friendly.
